The Facilitative Mediation Process
We have developed a psychologically-informed approach to dispute resolution which focuses on improving people’s capacity to engage in meaningful and constructive conversations.
This approach is applicable to a range of contexts including one-on-one discussions, mediations (formal or informal), legally represented or unrepresented parties, facilitative investigations, and facilitated interest-based negotiations. Matters may involve many parties or stakeholders.
We have conducted dispute resolution processes for corporate, workplace and HR, community, family, and school matters.
Initially, the mediator(s) will meet with parties individually in order to clarify each party's purpose, and to co-create a safe and productive process.
Facilitative mediators do not provide advice or decide outcomes.
